Intellectucool had the honor of collaborating with Washington, DC based non-profit The MusicianShip to help launch their new campaign #ModelForMusic . The campaign includes an apparel line featuring quotes promoting the love of music. All proceeds go towards The MusicianShip programs, which currently serves over 600 students in Washington, DC by providing music lessons and workshops. They also put on an annual concert that got pretty "lit" last year.
As someone who was previously a full-time music professional, I definitely feel that what this organization has been able to grow into has been a blessing for the culture in DC. It's rare to meet kids these days that actually know how to play a real instrument. Whether it's singing, learning how to play an instrument, or working behind the scenes to help produce a show, these skills are valuable in the multi-dimensional development of our youth.
